According to Sport, the Blaugrana are extremely interested in 21-year-old winger Nico Williams.
The young star had a productive 2023/24 season, scoring eight goals and providing 17 assists in all competitions for Athletic Club and Barca feel bringing in a winger such as the Pamplona native will elevate the quality within their side.
The interest is also mutual as Williams wants to stay in Spain if he is to leave the Basque club. The only issue the five-time European champions have, though, is the fact that the pacey attacker recently extended his contract at San Mames.

There is a possibility that the Catalan giants do land the forward this upcoming transfer window, but given his release clause and wages, the Spanish juggernauts will need to offload a prominent player of their own in order to accommodate Williams' arrival financially.
