Athletic Club's Nico Williams has been one of the EUROs' best performers so far.
The 21-year-old has caused problems for opposition defences all tournament long, and finally made tangible goal contributions in La Furia Roja's 4-1 win over Georgia in the Round of 16, scoring and assisting on Sunday.
The Pamplona native has shone along with his fellow winger Lamine Yamal, and while the duo have been major reasons for Spain's success so far at the continental spectacle, we could see the two youngsters replicate their displays at club level, with the Catalan giants said to be favourites to sign Williams.
According to Sport, the young star wants only to move to the Blaugrana if he is to leave Athletic Club.
Barca are in the market for a left-winger, but because they are still in a relatively unstable financial situation, triggering his mooted €58 million (R1.1 billion) release clause is a challenge, as things stand.
The same report claims that this has paved the way for Chelsea to pounce on a potential deal to sign the winger as they are able to offer him more money and have no issue paying his release clause.

Williams, however, is said to be more comfortable staying in Spain and eager for a move to the Camp Nou, where the likes of Yamal and Pedri have been advocating for his arrival.
