It is believed that Barcelona have an agreement with an international player who will only join the club if manager Ronald Koeman stays beyond this season.
Barca's First 2021/22 Signing Revealed?
The Blaugrana are said to be lining up a number of free agent signings ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, with Manchester City duo Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia reportedly close to joining the club.
Olympique Lyon winger Memphis Depay is also said to have been eyed by the Catalans, and Marca has now reported that the LaLiga giants have an agreement in place with the 27-year-old.
However, Barcelona will only officially secure his services if Koeman remains as manager next season, which comes after suggestions from sections of the Spanish press that the Dutch tactician's job is unstable amid his side's inconsistent form.
Barca have won just one of their past four LaLiga matches, and are currently four points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid with just two games remaining.
Depay, meanwhile, is expected to leave Lyon when his contract expires at the end of next month, and has been a target of Koeman's since last year having previously worked with the Dutch tactician for the Netherlands national team.
