Real Madrid remain in contention for the LaLiga title after hammering Granada 4-1 on Thursday evening.
Zinedine Zidane made three changes from the draw against Sevilla, as Toni Kroos and Alvaro Odriozola started from the bench, with Marcelo out of the squad, in favour of surprise starts for Marvin Park, Rodrygo and Miguel Gutierrez.
Luka Modric got the opener in the 17th minute with a low strike through the legs of goalkeeper Rui Silva after a cross over the top by Gutierrez.
The visitors kept on coming as Park had a wonderful chance to double their lead just before the half-hour mark after racing clear on goal from Federico Valverde's through ball but he dragged his shot wide.
Granada were causing Madrid problems, pressing them high but Rodrygo gave Zinedine Zidane's charges a two-goal cushion on the stroke of half-time with a curling strike past Silva.
Los Blancos were on the front foot coming from the break as Vinicius Junior came close to making it 3-0 just before the hour-mark after exchanging passes with Modric at the near post but his strike was smothered by Silva.
Zidane made a double change just after that, as Isco and Eden Hazard came on for Vinicius Junior and Valverde for fresh legs.
Roberto Martinez's troops were threatening from then on, as Luis Suarez missed an open goal in the 67th minute from a cross at the back post but Jorge Molina finally pulled a goal back four minutes with a volley after shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois could only parry Suarez's shot.
However, Odriozola restored a two-goal lead for Madrid in the last quarter of an hour with a first-time strike over Silva at the back post after a cross by Hazard.
Karim Benzema rounded off the scoring for the visitors a minute later with another strike over Silva after the Portuguese goalkeeper went out of his area for a long ball by Eder Militao and chested the ball on the path of the Frenchman.
Madrid were out of sight as Mariano Diaz replaced Benzema for fresh legs upfront just after his goal and Courtois denied Alberto Soro another consolation goal in the last five minutes, as Los Blancos moved to within two points of leaders Atletico Madrid, with two rounds of matches left.
