Perez was the only candidate to stand for election, meaning he was re-elected unopposed.

He was previously in charge of the club between 2000 and 2006, before starting his second stint as president in 2009.

Real have now announced that Perez will remain in charge until 2025, with his board of directors also being confirmed on Tuesday morning.

Los Blancos have lifted 26 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League and five LaLiga titles, under his leadership.

He is now facing his sixth term as president of the club and has some huge projects, including the completion of the Santiago Bernabeu revamp as well as the potential signing of new superstars such as Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, ahead of him.
