The 34-year-old forward remains without a team after leaving Adana Demirspor in Turkey at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Formerly of Manchester City and Liverpool in England, Balotelli has represented 11 different clubs in his career to date, and appears to be on the hunt for an 12th.
Last month, rumours suggested that the 36-time Italy international had been open to a move to India until Kerala Blasters, the outfit he was linked with, decided against pursuing his signature.
Spanish outfit AS has since reported that Balotelli has held transfer discussions with third-tier club Intercity, who are believed to have offered him a deal.
The publication claims that talks between the striker's camp and the Spanish minnows are going well, but adds that an agreement has not yet been reached.
Despite a move being on the cards, it is said Balotelli would need to wait until January to make his first appearance for the club after the Alicante outfit registered all their players for this season.
