Barcelona were long reported as front-runners to sign the 22-year-old, but it will all depend on the outcome of the club's election campaign.
While former Barcelona president, Joan Laporte publically states he will sign Pogba if he gets elected (thanks to his good relationship with his agent Mino Raiola), Josep Maria Bartomeu opted to sign Arda Turan.
Bartomeu, who stepped down as president before the elections, explained coach Luis Enrique wanted Turan and not Pogba.
"Luis Enrique hasn't asked for Pogba and anyway, Juventus don't want to sell him," he told Marca.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have gone quiet on Pogba speculation, although the player stated that he wants to play in La Liga.
However, it seems his €100 million price-tag is too much for Los Blancos. Manchester City have also reportedly pulled out of the Pogba chase after hearing about the Frenchman's excessive wage demands.
Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea also remain linked to Pogba, but recent reports have gone quiet.
Though, Sir Alex Ferguson, whose decision to let Pogba leave for Juventus is seen as one of his few big mistakes, insisted Juventus should sell the midfielder this summer.
"Yes, I'd sell Pogba," he told ESPN.
"Yes, it's true I already ended up losing him on a free, but now, if I were Juve, I'd sell."
