Sergio Ramos is reportedly one of two stars who rejected a contract offer by Real Madrid, with Manchester City linked with a shock move for the defender.

The 34-year-old, who turns 35 in March, is out of contract by the end of June and is now allowed to talk to other clubs.
According to Marca, Ramos and Los Blancos have reached a negotiation impasse, with Real believed to have offered just a one-year extension on his current wages.
The Real captain, though, wants a longer contract, but the club's reported policy is to only extend deals by one year for players over 30.

Meanwhile, City are said to be monitoring his situation, with Pep Guardiola keen on adding Ramos' experience to his defence.
The Spain international's wage demands would reportedly not be a problem for City, especially considering he would arrive on a free transfer.
Manchester United have also been linked with Ramos, but it remains to be seen whether he can find an agreement with his current club or leave once his deal expires.
