The Turkish outfit confirmed that they were in talks to sign the Dutch striker, however the club's Chairman Aziz Yildirim confirmed the transfer is done.
Van Perise will reportedly arrive in Turkey on Sunday afternoon, with the Turkish media reporting the player will sign his contract at the club's stadium on Monday for a fee believed to be £3.4million.
'We worked very hard, until midnight. We received five faxes, sent six faxes and finally it was finished,' Yildirim was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
'The Van Persie transfer is done and one more star has joined the Fenerbahce constellation,' he added.
The 31-year-old will join former United teammate, Nani, at the Turkish side, after the Portuguese winger completed his £4.26m move last week.
