Suarez 'Agrees' To Shock Transfer

Former FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed to a shock transfer ahead of the January transfer window.

The Uruguayan forward has been a free agent since parting ways boyhood club Nacional just before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

However, the 35-year-old is set to snub a return to Europe to remain in South America, with various reports claiming he will join Brazilian giants Gremio.

"Luis Suárez will sign a two-year deal with Gremio, valid until 2024. Saudi club Al-Khaleej has been informed of player's decision, he will play in Brazil," Fabrizio Romano tweeted. 

"Contracts are being checked, final step before signing and official announcement."
