There has been more activity in the transfer market in Europe's top leagues this week, with Real Madrid and Manchester United each getting rid of players, while Chelsea's longest-serving player left the club.

Los Blancos announced the departure of Luka Jovic on Thursday, with the Serbian re-joining Eintracht Frankfurt following his horror spell in Spain.
Jovic , who was bought by Real for €63 million (R1.1 billion) in 2019, only scored two goals at Real and now completed a loan to the Bundesliga side.
United, meanwhile, have sold right-back Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Bayer 04 Leverkusen after the Dutchman rejected a contract extension earlier in the campaign.
The 23-year-old moved for a fee of €1.7 million (R31.7 million), six months before the end of his contract. The Premier League side also sent youngster Ethan Laird, who featured for them in the UEFA Europa League this campaign, on loan to MK Dons.

Meanwhile, Lucas Piazon, who was Chelsea's longest-serving player has finally left the Blues. The 26-year-old joined the Premier League for a fee of €7.5 million (140 million) from Sao Paulo in 2012, but was sent seven times on loan and only made three appearances for the club.
He now joined Braga on a free transfer, ending his nine-year stint with the Blues – you can see more January deals that were confirmed this week by scrolling through the images above!
