A high-ranking FIFA official has admitted that they are willing to enlist the services of spiritual leaders in an effort to have Sadio Mane at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Official: Morocco Announce World Cup Squad
The 2022 CAF African Player of the Year may fail to feature at the global spectacle later this month after he was forced off the pitch earlier this week in the Bundesliga.
Following Bayern Munich's 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen, it was discovered that the winger was struggling with a tibia issue which have thrown the Senegalese's World Cup aspirations into doubt.
However, FIFA's Secretary General Fatima Samoura has insisted that the tournament needs the 2022 Ballon d'Or runner-up and is willing to go through great lengths to ensure he makes his way to the Arab nation.
"We are going to use spiritual leaders," Samoura said while speaking to Europe 1.
"I don't know [if they're effective] but in this instance, we're going to use them anyway. We are hoping for miracles. He has to be there!"
