The African champions will face the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League winners at 20:00 (SA time) with a place in the final against Tigres UNAL up for grabs.
So far, TP Mazembe (in 2010) and Raja Club Athletic (in 2013) are the only two African teams to have reached the final, but both ended up losing their respective deciders.
With this being Al Ahly's sixth appearance at the tournament, they have reached the semi-finals twice but lost on both occasions, with a third-place finish in 2006 being their best result.
The Red Devils are still unbeaten since "Jingles" joined the club in October 2020, winning 18 games and drawing four.

To keep this record alive, they will have to be at their best to beat Hansi Flick's Bayern, who are aiming to become only the second team in football history to lift a sextuple.
Although the Bavarians have struggled somewhat in the first half of the 2020/21 campaign, they have won their past five games in a row, and lead the Bundesliga table by seven points.
They also lifted the Club World Cup in 2013 after beating Guangzhou Evergrande and Raja Club on their way to the title. In addition, they won the Intercontinental Cup – the predecessor of the current format – in 1976 and 2001.
Here is how they line up:
Al Ahly: El-Shenawy; Mohamed Hany, Badr Benoun, Ayman Ashraf, Ali Maaloul; Hamdi Fathi, Amr El-Sulya; Hussien El-Shahat, Afsha, Taher; Kahraba
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Pavard, Kimmich, Boateng, Davies, Alaba, Gnabry, Roca, Coman, Miller, Lewandowski.
