Club World Cup Third/Fourth Play-Off 

Result: Club America 2-2 Atletico Nacional (Nacional won 4-3 on penalties)

Atletico Nacional picked up the bronze medal at the Club World Cup, after defeating Club America 4-3 on penalties in the third/fourth play-off.

Nacional went ahead after six minutes as defender Miguel Samudio put the ball the ball through his own net, 1-0.

The Colombian outfit managed to double their lead in the 26th minute courtesy of a strike from Alejandro Guerra. His first goal of the tournament.

Club America pulled a goal back after 38 minutes when Michael Arroyo fired past Franco Armani from close range to reduced the deficit.

The score remained 2-1 to Nacional as the sides entered the halftime break.

Club Ameirca were awarded a penalty after the hour mark when Charales brought down Samudio. Oribe Peralta stepped up and converted the spot-kick, 2-2.

Nacional nearly restored their lead after 80 minutes but Munoz produced a fine low save to keep out Borja's effort from distance.

Neither side could find a winning goal in the closing, forcing the clash to decided by a penalty shoot-out, where Nacional held their nerve to triumph 4-3 in the shoot-out.
