Al Ahly forward Ahmed Abdelkader blames the red card for the loss against Flamengo, as the Egyptians missed out on the bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Red Devils failed to advance to the Club World Cup final after losing to Al Hilal in the semi-final earlier this week.
Marcelo Koller's troops had a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday by clinching a bronze medal for the third straight tournament, but they suffered a 4-2 defeat.

With Al Ahly leading 2-1, Khaled Abdel-Fattah was shown a straight red card before the Brazilian side went on to score three unanswered goals to win the tie.
"We were in control of the game and had the lead, but the momentum shifted so quickly," Abdelkader told reporters after the game, as per KingFut.
"The sending-off changed the complexion of the game and was the reason why we lost today. We tried our best, but things got out of control.
"There are important games coming up and we need to prepare for them."
The Red Devils will now turn their attention to CAF Champions League matters as they take on Al-Hilal Omdurman on Wednesday afternoon.
