After Pitso Mosimane received some heavy criticism following his side's 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at the FIFA Club World Cup, African legend Sunday Oliseh has now come out in his defence.
Former Al Ahly defender Mohamed Emara was one of the outspoken critics of Mosimane, saying the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is "poor at managing matches" and "has not left an imprint" on him.
However, Oliseh has since jumped to the defence of his fellow African coach, insisting that "Jingles" and Al Ahly have made the continent proud.
"Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane made me so proud yesterday the way he tactically competed with a star-studded Bayern Munich," Oliseh wrote on social media.
"He showed no complex and had a game plan. Great African Ambassador.
"Though they lost, for me, Al Ahly and Mosimane were the real winners last night. Bravo Bro!"
Mosimane will have a chance to silence his doubters when his CAF champions take on Copa Libertadores winners Palmeiras on Thursday.
