The Catalan giants have been in the market for a left-winger since the start of this season.
They, however, failed to bring in a prominent star to play on the left flank due to economic restraints, but it seems the Spanish giants are keen on trying again once this campaign comes to an end.
It has been widely reported that club president Joan Laporta wants a major acquisition to coincide with the reopening of the Camp Nou, and with the world-class form of Robert Lewandowski so far in this campaign, the recruitment of a striker is not deemed urgent.
Consequently, the Blaugrana are now focused on signing a winger for their left side. According to Sport, their shortlist includes Nico Williams, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Rafael Leao, Mohamed Salah and Leroy Sane.
Williams was a target during the last transfer window, but after failing to secure his services, the club are hoping he does not extend with Athletic Club so they can trigger his reported €60 million (R1.1 billion) release clause.
Serie A superstars Kvaratskhelia and Leao are appreciated by the chiefs in Catalonia, though both are believed to come with high price tags.

Sane and Salah will be free agents at the end of the 2024/25 campaign should they not extend their current deals, but the same report claims Barca are wary that either player will demand exorbitant wages as a consequence.
It is understood that no official decision has been made on whom to focus on at this stage, but that the club will look to land one of these five targets.
