FC Barcelona and Liverpool are reportedly set to go head to head in the transfer market as they do battle for the signature of one of Spanish football's most promising players.
Reigning LaLiga champions Barca and 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool have reportedly both turned their attention to Valencia prodigy Ferran Torres.
According to Sport Bild, the two European giants are set to do battle for the Spanish winger's signature at the end of the season, but will face competition from the likes of Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
Torres is contracted to Valencia until 2021 but is reportedly not considering a new deal with the club, with reports suggesting that he could be available for about €20 million (R324 million) at the conclusion of the current domestic campaign.
The 19-year-old made his debut for Los Che back in 2017, and has already made more than 60 senior appearances for the club, scoring three times.
Torres is also a Spain youth international, and was part of the squads that lifted the U17 and U19 UEFA European Championship titles in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
