Spanish giants Barcelona have announced the departure of a striker they signed for €40 million (R796.7 million) in January.

The Catalan giants have confirmed that 19-year-old forward Vitor Roque has joined Real Betis on loan for the season.

Betis, as revealed in Barcelona's statement, will have the option to take the Brazilian on loan for a second campaign as part of the agreement.
The former Athletico PR talent has endured a frustrating start to life in Spain, after making only 16 appearances following his arrival in January this year.
Roque battled to impress ex-manager Xavi Hernandez, and had been strongly linked with a permanent sale amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

The youngster will now continue his development in LALIGA with Betis, who have drawn their opening two league games of the season.
Barcelona have also confirmed that central defender Clement Lenglet has completed a loan move to Atletico Madrid.
