On Wednesday, Mounir Nasraoui was stabbed in a car park in the town of Mataro, where Lamine was raised.
Arrests have reportedly been made since the incident, which was believed to start earlier that same day when Nasraoui was involved in an argument with the alleged assailants.
Spanish publication La Vanguardia reported that Lamine's father was "set up" by the men accused of attacking him after they met with him in a car park "to make peace" following their initial issue.
The Catalan outlet claimed that the alleged attackers, who did not warn Nasraoui, "surrounded him, beat him, kicked him, and stabbed him".
Speaking to Spanish football programme El Chiringuito in what is believed to be his first interview since the incident, Lamine's father, still in hospital after reports said he had been discharged, admitted he needs to be "calmer".
"Thank God, I'm much better, they just moved me up to the ward," he said.
"I have to be calmer for the good of everyone, mine and my family. I have no other choice.
"We have to think that justice will do its job. That's the most important thing. Everything has a solution."

Nasraoui also said he was afraid during the incident, and insisted he wants to put what happened behind him "as soon as possible".
