FC Barcelona star Gerard Pique has once again found himself in hot water after falling foul of the law on a night out in Spain.
Pique was reportedly attending a birthday celebration in Barcelona when he was approached by traffic officers who demanded that he move his illegally parked vehicle.
According to AS, the former Spain international had illegally parked over a zebra crossing and, when the officials identified him via his number plates, was told to move his vehicle and slapped with a €200 (R3 300) fine.
The report indicates that this is not the first time the 32-year-old has been at the receiving end of the law's might.
In 2014, he was allegedly fined €10 500 (R173 000) for affronting traffic officers after his brother had been fined for illegally parking in a bus lane for 15 minutes.
Last year, he reportedly received another fine of €50 000 (R826 000) for driving without any points (which is a requirement in Spanish law) on his licence.
Pique is a graduate of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, and has made more than 500 appearances for the club, having also had spells with Manchester United and Real Zaragoza.
