The Blaugrana started the 2024/25 season in blistering form, winning 11 of their first 12 matches of the league campaign.
However, in recent weeks, they have experienced a dip in form, collecting just one point from a possible nine. This poor run includes a draw away to Celta Vigo, sandwiched between defeats to Real Sociedad and Las Palmas.
Their latest loss to Los Amarillos appears to have irked Flick. According to Marca, it prompted the German tactician to delay their Monday training session by an hour to hold an urgent meeting with his players.
The report suggests that, prior to training, the 59-year-old analysed the team's performance with the players present, highlighting the mistakes that have been costing them.
Individual conversations reportedly continued during the session, with Flick's discussion with Lewandowski said to have been one of the longest.
Barcelona's strong start to the campaign was largely due to the Polish striker's prolific form in LALIGA. In the first 12 league matches, Lewandowski scored 14 goals. While he managed to find the back of the net against Celta, he has not scored in the club's recent defeats.
