FC Barcelona need to balance the books after signing Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong on mega-money deals, and the club has now set an asking price for one of their star players.

Having spent more than €200 million (R3.1 million) in the market so far, and with the club still hoping to finance a deal for Neymar, the Blaugrana have now put one of their stars in the shop window.
The club is actively looking to offload Philippe Coutinho, but only if they are able to recover a significant portion of the €135 million (R2.1 million) they reportedly paid to sign the Brazilian star last year.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have placed a €120 million (R1.8 billion) price tag on Coutinho's head and are demanding that suitors cover his annual wages of about €14 million (R220 million) as well.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be the only three clubs who could match Barca's demands, but neither club has been credited with a strong interest in the player, making a deal unlikely at this stage.

Coutinho played 70 matches for club and country last season, the most by any player across Europe's top leagues.
