According to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, as per Sport, the Blaugrana are seriously interested in signing Luis Diaz from the Merseysiders.

The Catalan giants are said to have Spain international Nico Williams as their top transfer priority, but as the days of the window go by, it is becoming increasingly likely that he will stay at Athletic Bilbao, and this has forced the LALIGA juggernauts to look at alternatives.

Diaz was reportedly a target for Barca at the beginning of the window, and they have now seemingly returned to try to recruit him from Anfield, but it is a deal that would not come cheap.

The same report claims that the Reds will likely want €70 million (R1.3 billion) for him as he still has three years remaining on his existing contract, while it is also said that the six-time European champions will try to extend his deal beyond then, and that if he doesn't agree to it, then there is a possibility they may put him up for sale.

According to Liverpool's new manager Arne Slot, however, the 55-cap Colombia international will not be leaving the club any time soon.
