The 16-year-old, who is Barcelona's second-youngest ever player and youngest ever goalscorer, and who recently became the youngest player to score and assist a goal in a LaLiga game, added another record to his name when he was named in the starting XI for Barca against their German opposition this week.
Upon doing so, the Guinea-Bissau-born forward became the youngest player to start a Champions League match and to feature in a Uefa competition for the Catalan giants, at the age of 16 years and 351 days.

As confirmed by the club's official website, the record was previously held by fellow former La Masia academy graduate Bojan Krkic, who featured for the Blaugrana against Olympique Lyonnais at the age of 17 years and 22 days during the 2007/08 campaign.
Fati started alongside Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann in Barca's star-studded line-up, and played 59 minutes before being substituted for Lionel Messi, a player he will no doubt hope to emulate.
