Goals from Per Mertesacker and Alexis Sanchez handed Arsenal a 2-0 win over Hull City in their third round FA Cup tie on Sunday evening.
Per Mertesacker gave Arsenal the lead in the 20th minute, as the German defender rose highest to head home Santi Cazorla's corner.
The lead was almost doubled in the 21st minute, but Alex Sanchez's effort from close range was cleared off the line by Paul McShane.
Hull City's best effort of the first half fell to winger Thomas Ince but his effort from the edge of the area sailed just wide of the upright.
Arsenal continued to dominate proceedings after the halftime break with Sanchez and Cazorla causing havoc in the attacking third.
Theo Walcott should have doubled the home side's lead in the 66th minute but he skewed his effort wide of the mark from six-yards out.
Arsenal went in search of the second goal late on and were rewarded in the 82nd minute, as Sanchez turned well before curling an effort into the far corner.
