UEFA Europa League Report: Liverpool 1-1 Rubin Kazan 22 October 2015

UEFA Europa League Result: Liverpool 1-1 Rubin Kazan Date: 22 October 2015 Venue: Anfield Liverpool failed to win against Rubin Kazan at home on Thursday, despite playing most of their UEFA Europa League game against 10 men. The Reds came close to scoring early-on but it was the visitors who broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when Kuzmin was given too much room in the opposing half and played a ball over the top for Marko Devic to stuck it away. Jurgen Klopp's charges came close to equalising immediately as Coutinho squared the ball for Adam Lallana to strike, but it missed the target from outside the box. Coutinho and Lallana combined again moments later when the former sent a free kick towards the latter. However, the headed effort at goal was just over the bar. Rubin Kazan were dealt a heavy blow in the 36th minute when they skipper received his second yellow card and his marching orders after clattering into Emre Can. The hosts took advantage of their superior numbers only a minute later. Coutinho swung in a free kick and Origi was at the far post to flick it on for Can to finish from close range for the equaliser. Lallana created a great chance for the hosts in the 79th minute as he squared the ball for Christian Benteke, but his first-time shot only rattled the post.
