Goals from Andros Townsend and Harry Kane earned Tottenham Hotspur a 2-1 win over Asteras Tripolis in a UEFA Europa League clash in Greece on Thursday night.
Townsend gave Spurs the lead midway through the first with well-taken penalty, after he had been brought down in the box.
Spurs doubled the lead in the 41st minute, this time Townsend turned Provider to pick out Harry Kane, who headed home from three-yards out.
Tsokanis should have reduced the deficit minutes after the halftime break, but the striker placed his effort wide of the target from six-yards out.
Mazza came closing to pulling one back for Asteras in the 65th minute as he rifled one against the crossbar, with Michel Vorm well beaten.
Vorm came to Spurs' rescue in the 85th minute, as he pulled off a fine reaction save to keep out Zisopoulos' volley.
The hosts pulled one back in the 90th minute as Jerónimo Barrales converted from the penalty spot, after the striker had been brought down by Julián Fazio, who shown a straight red for the challenge.
Spurs managed to hold off a late surge from the Greek side to remain top Group C.
