If his 2023/24 campaign with Barcelona showed us a glimmer of his world-class ability, his talents erupted at the continental showpiece in Germany.
The 17-year-old winger broke a plethora of records on his way to helping the Spanish national team win their fourth European championship.
He scored one goal and provided four assists during the tournament, and was directly involved in at least one goal in every Spain match of the competition's knockout stages.
While he was one of the main protagonists for Luis de la Fuente's charges, the 63-year-old has warned the teenage sensation about the potential pitfalls of being a football superstar.
"It is part of the process he has to go through," the Haro native told Marca.
"He has been guided well by the more experienced players.
"They have supported and guided him throughout. We need to stay calm, be patient, as this journey is long.
"The same people who praise you today might criticise you tomorrow. That's just how it is.
"Lamine needs to mature, although he is already quite mature for his age.
