A former France star has backed Paul Pogba to join an English giant vying for the Premier League title.

The former Manchester United playmaker is currently serving an 18-month suspension from football for taking a banned substance.
The 31-year-old was originally given a four-year ban after he tested positive for testosterone earlier last year, but following an appeal, it was reduced drastically.
The Lagny-sur-Marne native is currently under contract at Juventus, but the record Serie A champions have confirmed that they plan on terminating his existing deal.
He is poised to return to the beautiful game in March 2025, and will likely don the colours of a new club when he does, but one of his former national teammates, Bacary Sagna, believes he would be a perfect fit for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.
"The Premier League suits Paul Pogba – I would love to see him joining Arsenal," the former Gunners and Manchester City defender told PaddyPower.
"It would be great – he has experience; he loves to play with young players around him – that is when he is most efficient.
"At the 2018 World Cup, that was when he was most efficient – he had friends around him.
"Arsenal have a young, fresh team, and I see him performing in an Arsenal shirt. He will get love from their fans.

"Now, he can start from scratch again – he's had time away from football, and he'll be back with a desire to get back into a good space and play football again."
