Arsenal 4-0 Everton
Arsenal restored their five-point cushion at the top of the table after drubbing Everton 4-0 courtesy of a brace by Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners were unchanged from their narrow win over Leicester City over the weekend, as Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Martinelli led the attack.
Everton absorbed the pressure for the better part of the first stanza but their resistance was broken five minutes before the interval after Saka produced a moment of brilliance and fired an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.
Mikel Arteta's charges remained in the hunt with a high press and Martinelli doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time after racing clear on goal from a through ball by Saka, who dispossessed Idrissa Gueye.
The Gunners were out of sight with 19 minutes remaining after Martin Odegaard fired home a first-time effort from a cut-back by Trossard.
Martinelli put the icing on the cake for Arteta's troops ten minutes before time as he made it 4-0 and completed his brace with a poked effort at the near post after a square pass by Eddie Nketiah.
Liverpool 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Liverpool went up to sixth on the Premier League table after a late 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
The Reds shuffled the pack from their draw against Crystal Palace, as Ibrahima Konate returned from injury while there was a fresh midfield trio of Fabinho, Harvey Elliot and Stefan Bajcetic.
The sides were up for the challenge in an intense first stanza but Liverpool had a big chance only just before the interval as Elliot missed a free header from a cut-back by Darwin Nunez and the pair combined again on the stroke of half-time but the English teenager was denied by goalkeeper Jose Sa.
In open early stages of the second stanza, Liverpool had a goal scored by Nunez, a tap-in, disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for a foul in the build-up.
However, Virgil Van Dijk eventually broke the deadlock for Jurgen Klopp's men on 73 minutes with a header from a close range after a cross by Diogo Jota.
Mohamed Salah put the game to bed for the Reds a couple of minutes later with a close-range shot after a cut-back by Konstantinos Tsimikas from the byline.
