Venue: Old Trafford
Erik ten Hag made two changes from the win over Chelsea, as Anthony Martial and Sergio Reguilon came in for Rasmus Hoijlund and Victor Lindelof while Marcus Rashford kept his spot on the bench.
The hosts were stunned into silence when Bournemouth took the lead on five minutes when some poor defending allowed Lewis Cook to run free down the right and pick out Dominic Solanke, who calmly tucked the cross away.
Bournemouth had the ball in the back of the net once again in the 24 minute through Marcus Tavernier's strike, but celebrations were cut short as the player was flagged for offside, with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) confirming the decision.
The visitors were unlucky not to have gone into the break with a two-goal lead as Solanke won possession high up and drilled a low strike against the upright with Andre Onana well beaten.
The Red Devils came out firing in the second half but it was Bournemouth who the next goal in the 67th minute when Philip Billing rose above Luke Shaw to head home Tavernier's cross.
It went from bad to worse for the home side as Bournemouth grabbed a third goal in the 73rd minute as Marcos Senesi scores for the second straight game by nodding home from a corner.
The Red Devils offered nothing going forward in the closing stages, with Bournemouth going on to add a fourth goal in time added on through Dango Ouattara but the goal was ruled out for handball.
