Manchester City's struggles in the Premier League continued after drawing 1-1 with Everton on Boxing Day.

City coach Pep Guardiola made three changes from the loss to Aston Villa, with Nathan Ake, Jeremy Doku and Savinho coming back into the starting line-up while Kevin de Bruyne remained on the bench.
After a lively start, the home side broke the deadlock in 14th minute when Doku turned provider to play in Bernardo Silva, who bundled the ball home from a tight angle.
Everton, meanwhile, were happy to sit back on soak up the pressure and attack on the counter although Dominic Solanke was closed down whenever he got the ball up the pitch.
That all changed with ten minutes to play, as Abdoulaye Doucoure's cross found its way to Iliman Ndiaye, who took one touch before volleying into the top corner for his third goal of the campaign.
Five minutes after the break, City were awarded a penalty after Vitalii Mykolenko brought down Savinho in the box. Erling Haaland stepped but saw his spot-kick saved by goalkeeper Jordan Henderson.
With City struggling to break the Everton defence down, Guardiola opted to finally introduce De Bruyne in the 74th minute with Doku making despite causing a few problems.
The home side threw bodies forward in search of a winning goal, but Everton defended well to hold on for the point in Manchester.
