In the past few weeks, several teams around Europe have announced player departures ahead of the 2024/25 season, with United having confirmed that experienced French centre-back Raphael Varane will be bidding farewell to the Red Devils.
The Frenchman made his final Premier League appearance for the club this past weekend in a 2-0 away win over Brighton Hove Albion after returning from injury. The 31-year-old is now in line to wear the red for the last time this Saturday, when United meet Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have said goodbye to Thiago and Joel Matip. The two players were paid tribute to at Anfield on Sunday prior to Jurgen Klopp's emotional send-off. While Thiago closes his chapter in the Premier League after representing the Reds on 98 occasions, fan favourite Matip will move on after eight years and 201 appearances.
Staying in England, Arsenal have announced the departure of Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny after the midfielder's 161 appearances for the Gunners. The 31-year-old leaves the Emirates Stadium following an eight-year stint, during which he collected three trophies.
