As of 1 January 2025, the 32-year-old superstar winger will be eligible to sign a pre-contract with any team outside of England.
Many teams have been rumoured to be interested in the legendary attacker, including Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia and Paris Saint-Germain, who are both believed to be keen on securing his services.
However, according to The Athletic, Liverpool are determined to prevent the Nagrig native's departure on a free transfer at all costs, with reports suggesting they have offered him a new contract.
The terms of the extension are yet to be determined, but it is claimed that all three of the club's soon-to-be out-of-contract superstars have been offered fresh deals.
The same report claims that Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have also received extension proposals from the six-time European champions.
In Salah's case, it is understood that a deal is not close to being agreed at this stage, as these negotiations are expected to be protracted.
