With Erling Haaland recently being linked with a move to Barcelona, here is the latest regarding the superstar striker's future.

The Blaugrana's interest in the Scandinavian sensation is well-documented, with the Catalan giants believed to be interested in the attacker since he was at Borussia Dortmund.
Recently, however, those links have intensified, with Barca reported to want to bring Haaland to the club next year when they reopen the Camp Nou.
That would be a difficult deal to complete given the large amounts of money that will likely be involved, from the transfer fee to his wages.
As the Spanish giants continue to figure their financial situation out, Haaland is seemingly eager to sort his own future out, and according to TEAMtalk, the 24-year-old is open to signing a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.
The two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner's current contract with the Citizens ends in 2027, but it is claimed that the Norwegian wants to extend his stay in Manchester for the time being.
The pacey forward will, however, only put pen to paper on a fresh deal if an achievable release clause is included in his new contract.
It is understood that Haaland wants a £100 million (R2.2 billion) exit clause included in his new deal for clubs outside of England, in case he decides to call time on his career in the Premier League.

Barca are still well-equipped in the striking department, with Robert Lewandowski currently occupying the top of the 2024/25 LALIGA Golden Boot standing, but with his contract set to expire in 2026, the five-time European champions could make a push to land Haaland's services once the Pole leaves.
