Chelsea have reportedly named their price for clubs who are interested in buying their record signing Romelu Lukaku on a permanent basis.

It is perhaps safe to categorise the Belgian's return to Stamford Bridge as unsuccessful as, for the second season in a row, the 30-year-old has been shipped out on loan following his club-record move to west London in 2021.
Lukaku was linked with a number of teams during the off-season, mainly Inter Milan, Juventus and Al Hilal, but with proposed moves to those clubs all falling through for various reasons, the prolific marksman made AS Roma his temporary home for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign.
The marksman has seemingly adapted well to life in Rome, having already scored seven goals in eight appearances for the Giallorossi.
Despite this form, it seems Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino still has no plan to reintegrate Belgium's all-time top goalscorer at the Blues, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Londoners are now willing to part with the striker for £37 million (R860 million) come the end of the season.
This is a massive drop-off from the €113 million (R2.2 billion) transfer fee the two-time European champions paid for the Antwerp native two years ago, but with the Premier League club now focused on developing younger players, it looks as though there is no space for him up front in the English capital.

Currently, Roma have no obligation or option to buy Lukaku, and should he continue his rich vein of goalscoring form, they will likely face stiff competition for his signature if they are interested in retaining him on a long-term basis.
