Two Euro Giants ‘Approach’ Man Utd For Rashford

Two European giants have reportedly taken the first steps in their attempt to prise Marcus Rashford away from Manchester United this transfer window.

This past weekend, the England international was omitted from the Red Devils' squad for the fifth time in the last six matches. As the weeks go by, it is increasingly looking like the Manchester native is not part of Ruben Amorim's plans at Old Trafford, and clubs across Europe are looking to take advantage of the situation.

It is alleged that Saudi Arabian sides are also extremely keen, but in a bid to stay within the view of new England boss Thomas Tuchel, Rashford is said to favour staying in Europe.

Multiple sides are believed to be interested in acquiring the winger, but it seems that Italian giants AC Milan have been the most proactive in their pursuit of the attacker.

According to Calciomercato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who now occupies an executive role at I Rossoneri and is also a former teammate of Rashford's, is believed to have advocated for his arrival at the San Siro this transfer window.

The same report claims that the likeliest deal for the 60-capped international is that he moves to the six-time European champions on loan, with the Serie A side poised to cover a portion of his reported £315,000 (R7.2 million)-a-week wages.

It is understood that completing a deal will be complicated. Talks with the record Premier League champions have already taken place, but AC Milan will face stiff competition from fellow league rivals, with the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli also said to be interested.

Along with the Italian giants, however, a German giant in Borussia Dortmund is also believed to have enquired about Rashford's availability. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Bundesliga outfit have asked the Manchester club about the conditions of attaining the versatile attacker.
