FC Barcelona forward, Luis Suarez, is now only five days away from debuting for his new club but in today's feature we take a look what would have happened if he had signed for Real Madrid.
Suarez was reportedly twice close to joining Los Blancos. The club put their eyes on Suarez first in 2013, but then decided to pay a world record fee for Gareth Bale.
This summer, they were reportedly again keen to bring the 26-year-old to Bernabeu, but the Uruguayan decided to join Barcelona - the town were his wife has been living in for a long time.
Real are in record-breaking form this season, having won their last seven games in all competitions and scoring 32 goals along the way.
Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously Real's top-scorer, but in the strike department Karim Benzema is struggling to find the back of the net at a decent rate.
The Frenchman has scored five goals in 11 games and has the backing of Carlo Ancelotti, but the question remains whether he scores enough goals to deserve number nine shirt at Real.
Suarez surely has the skills and ability to outscore Benzema and had he signed for Ancelotti's side, they would almost be unbeatable.
Even at Lyon, Benzema's goal-scoring rates were never really outstanding but the 26-year-old has always been praised for his teamwork.
Now, imagine the 'work horse' Suarez playing alongside Ronaldo and Gareth Bale running his heart out to cover for the two wingers and also setting up their goals as he did for his Liverpool teammates.
Of course, the Uruguayan also has his crazy sides and it would be interesting to see how his ego would worked with the ego of Ronaldo, but believe me Real Madrid made a huge mistake not to sign Suarez.
