On Wednesday, Real and Barca will meet for the 243rd time in official competitions, in a match that could go a long way in influencing where this season's LaLiga title will end up. Over the years, a number of the greatest players have taken part in the fixture, with a select few excelling on the goalscoring front.

In recent seasons, El Clasico was dominated by the rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who feature as the encounter's two leading goalscorers of all time. Messi comes out on top with 26 goals in the fixture, while Ronaldo, who has since joined Juventus, is joint-second alongside Los Blancos legend Alfredo Di Stefano with 18 goals.
Former Real captain Raul scored 15 times against the Blaugrana, while Cesar Rodríguez starred for the Catalan giants in the mid-1900s and netted on 14 occasions against the 33-time LaLiga winners. Cesar is joined in fifth place by ex-Real stars Paco Gento and Ferenc Puskas, who both matched his tally.
