The retired Spanish footballer doesn't enjoy seeing the Portuguese captain show his frustrations while he's on the field for Los Blancos, but understands it's who is – saying that he needs to be more level-headed.
"As a fan, I don't like to see Cristiano Ronaldo like that, but that's the way he is," he told Marca.
"He should still put a lid on his shows of arrogance, though."
Santillana offered his thoughts on the much anticipated fixture between the two Spanish giants, admitting that it's tough for him to choose a winner in the contest.
"If Real Madrid win at the Camp Nou, they'll have earned a moral victory, and if Barcelona win, then they'll be a little closer to winning the title; but I can't pick a favourite," he added.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in uncharacteristically poor form of late, but will be hoping to be at the forefront of Real Madrid's fortunes on Sunday.
The 30-year-old has scored 13 El Clasico goals in his Los Blancos career, while this season he's scored 41 goals in all competitions.
