Ronald Koeman Cuts Interview Short After Penalty Drama In El Clasico

An 'angry' Ronald Koeman cut his interview short after getting into an exchange with a report about the late penalty drama in El Clasico.

Los Blancos claimed the bragging rights in El Clasico on Saturday, with goals from Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos securing a 2-1 in the Spanish capital.

It wouldn't be a normal El Clasico without drama, as the Catalan giants felt they should have had a penalty late in the game when Martin Braithewaite appeared to be brought down by Ferland Mendy in the box.

The visitors were quite upset with the decision, which even saw Koeman calling out a reporter for sitting on the fence.

"If you want to sit on the fence, sit on the fence!," Koeman told the Movistar+ reporter before leaving the interview.

Before he left, the Dutchman claims they were very angry about not being awarded a penalty.

"We are really angry about the situation with the penalty," the manager said. "That's not fair play. If you don't give the penalty — I don't understand that."
