Left-back Sergio Reguilon has been one of the revelations at Los Blancos this season and even started the last two El Clasicos ahead of first-choice left-back Marcelo.
The 22-year-old, who came through Real's academy and broke into the first team in 2018/19, experienced his first derbies in March and wanted to stand his ground against some of Barca's veteran stars.
First he clashed with Luiz Suarez, calling the Uruguayan striker a "rabbit" before shouting: "Don't touch me. Don't touch me, eh. Man you are so ugly. You are really ugly," he hurled, according to AS.
But Suarez wasn't Reguilon's only victim, as he later also had a run in with Messi.
"What? What did you say? What's up with you, flea!? What's wrong with you now?," he said.
The left-back now revealed why he clashed with Suarez and Messi, saying it happened in the heat of the moment.
"You're going at a thousand miles an hour in a Clásico, really fired up, you say stuff, but look, it's things that are left out on the pitch: the tension makes you say this stuff," he told Onda Cero, as cited by AS.
