Real Madrid's board have discussed manager Julen Lopetegui's future ahead of El Clasico against FC Barcelona this weekend.
The 10 UCL All-Time Top Scorers
Following Los Blancos' narrow 2-1 win against Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League, questions are still being asked about boss Lopetegui.
Before Tuesday evening's match, Real had lost four games of their previous five, leading to many speculating as to whether the Spaniard was nearing the sack.
Real director Emilio Butragueno has called for calm ahead of their derby clash against Barca on Sunday, insisting that Lopetegui will still be in charge.
"Lopetegui will sit on the bench at Camp Nou as normal," he told Movistar.
"In these kind of situations, it is important to remain calm and trust the players. Sunday's game is a great motivation for us.
"It is normal. This is football. We have heard the rumours, but we have confidence and hopefully we will play well at Camp Nou."
