All eyes were on LaLiga on Sunday evening, where Ernesto Valverde's men hosted Zinedine Zidane's Los Blancos at Camp Nou – a game that did not fail to live up to the hype.
As is often the case in El Clasico, the intense affair featured many heated exchanges on the field, and another event that usually takes place during the encounter occurred, and that was Messi finding the back of the net.
The 30-year-old's second-half strike was his 26th goal against Real over the years, and it was also his seventh league strike in El Clasicos at Camp Nou.
Messi overtook Real legend Francisco Gento's previous tally of six LaLiga Clasico goals at Barca's home ground, having drawn level with the Spaniard's record in December.
