FC Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, is the record scorer in El Clasico history and he has scored eight more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi surpassed Real Madrid legend, Alfredo di Stefano, during the last El Clasico at the Bernabeu, scoring a hat trick to help his side to a 4-3 win and sits now on 21 goals.
Di Stefano had scored 18 El Clasico goals during his playing career, one more than Real Madrid record-scorer, Raul, while three other former greats share the fourth position with 14 goals.
Messi's bitter rival, Ronaldo, only sits in seventh position in the El Clasico goal-scoring charts with 13 goals.
Ronaldo has scored his 13 goals in 21 games and also provided two assists, while Messi has scored his 21 goals in 28 El Clasicos. In addition, the Argentine has also provided 12 assists, which menas he has been involved in 33 goals against Real Madrid – more than any other player ever.
But not only his goal-record, also his better win ratio makes Messi the undisputed king of the EL Clasico.
While Ronaldo has only won five out his 21 games against the Blaugrana, drawing six and losing ten, Messi has won 12 out of his 28 games and picked up seven draws with only eight defeats.
This corresponds in a 46 percent win ration for Messi, while Ronaldo has only won 24 percent of his El Clasicos.
Messi has scored eight out of his 21 El Clasico goals at the Bernabeu, which makes Real Madrid's backyard his favourite hunting ground - in no other opponent's stadium he has scored more goals.
