This weekend's El Clasico might have an extra bite to it as it's not only likely to see the return of Luis Suarez but could also bring up a new bit controversy.
Luis Suárez's is set to make his comeback to competitive competition after he was banned for biting Giorgio Chiellini in the World Cup, but the debate which has been brought up before over the exact date on which his punishment ends has risen once again.
FIFA remains firm that 26th October, which is this Sunday, is the date when he will have served exactly four months since his punishment was handed down.
The Catalans, asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport to clarify the date which Suárez's ban expires, even though the decision is outside of their powers. The date set by the CAS was the 25th October and to avoid any problems Barcelona, even went as far as asking FIFA for its opinion on the decision a few weeks later.
FIFA are well aware that the CAS has no authority to set the date on which a ban ends, but they believe that Luis Suárez has been punished enough.
The difference of opinion on the dates of return could very well cause problems in La Liga and if Suarez does play, Real Madrid or a third party might have a real case against Barcelona if they are to lodge a complaint.
