It's said the Catalan club's Neymar and Messi are close friends behind the scenes at Barcelona, which could be a good reason for their form on the field – but for the next month that may not be the case.
Taking Luis Suarez, who joined the duo four months into the season, out of the frame, the pair have breathed new life into Barcelona, scoring a total of 97 goals between themselves.
The two South Americans, Messi for Argentina, and Neymar for Brazil, will captain their respective countries in the Copa America, and may have to put their friendship aside for the upcoming weeks.
It's been said that Messi hardly showcases his best ability for his nation, as it's believed that he doesn't get the same service for his country as he does at Barcelona.
On the other hand, Neymar is already regarded as a legend for Brazil, and at just 23-years-old, he's already played over 60 games for Selecao, where he now dons the armband.
The rivalry between Brazil and Argentina is known all around the world, with both sides hoping to overcome their 2014 World Cup woes.
Brazil were knocked out in semi-finals of the World Cup, after an embarrassing 7-1 loss on their own turf to Germany, while Argentine were beaten in the final by the same German side.

While Neymar has found the net 45 times for Brazil from 62 games, Messi has scored the same amount, but from 97 caps for the Argentines.
