A furious Lionel Messi reportedly refused to collect the Man of the Match award after his side's late collapse to Paraguay in their Copa America opener.

The Argentina captain scored his side's 2-0 via penalty in the first group stage match, but Paraguay managed to draw the game following two late goals in the second half.
Messi was reportedly chosen as Man of the Match for the game but didn't want the award. The judges therefor handed it to Paraguay striker, Nelson Haedo Valdez, who had scored Paraguay's first goal.
The 27-year-old will reportedly not be fined for his behaviour, but his national team might be after allegedly failing to provide a player for the pre-match press conference.
Messi and his teammate Angel Di Maria wrote more negative headlines after being seen laughing when coming out of the dressing room at half-time.
Argentine media didn't take Messi's and Di Maria's behaviour too lightly after the national team threw away a two-goal lead.

However, Messi and Argentina have since beaten Uruguay in the second Copa America group stage match and are on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stages.
