Gerardo Martino's side come into this clash, having surrendered a two-goal lead in their 2-2 draw with Paraguay in their opening Copa America game.
Argentina will once again be looking to their stellar strike force, as Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero have already recorded a goal at this year's tournament.
Uruguay come into this tie top of Group B, following their narrow 1-0 win over Jamaica in their opening group clash on Saturday evening.
Uruguay are the defending Champions, having won the title in 2011 in Argentina, however they are without the services of Luis Suarez, who is still serving a FIFA ban.
Los Charrúas boast the most Copa America titles with 15, while Argentina sit behind them with 14 titles.
These two nations last met in the 2011 edition at the quarterfinal stage, when the Uruguayans beat Argentina 5-4 in a penalty shootout, after it ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.
